We think simple is better
We also think our
new Long Grass Binocular Leather Binocular Strap is the most
versatile binocular strap available. We make
this claim because the
Long Grass strap keeps your binoculars out of the way yet instantly
available whether you are sitting,
walking, crawling, or even
running. This can all be done without binocular bounce. The strap
will not interfere with your gun
mount. There is no neck strain or
fatigue. Your binoculars go on and off as quick as your rifle sling
so adding or removing
clothes is no longer a problem. No other
binocular carry method can honestly make these claims.

How it Works
The Long Grass Leather Binocular Strap is made to ride:
- over
your shoulder,
- across the body,
- with the binoculars resting on your hip
This age old carry method transfers the weight
to the torso instead of the neck.
- There are several benefits to you by wearing
your binoculars
in this manner:
- by wearing the strap diagonally across
the body, the weight is spread across your entire torso rather than focusing it on your neck or shoulders
- the binoculars will stay in place because they are carried at the waist/hip level;
your
body’s natural pivot point which is your point
of minimum body movement whether walking, crawling, or running
- you carry the binoculars lower which
maintains your center of gravity and, consequently, your balance
- There is no elastic or neoprene
stretching and rebounding. Both hands remain free to hold
your rifle or for any other needed task.
Using your new Binocular Strap
To bring your binoculars into viewing position simply grasp the binoculars
and slide them into position. The leather
strap
edges are contoured to facilitate sliding.
If you are viewing for
long period you will not be fatigued by fighting against elastic straps.
When running your binoculars are stabilized by simply keeping
your arm over the strap and against your side.
When stalking, where you are often in a “bowing”
position, slide the strap so the binoculars will ride
in the small of your back.
This is also the preferred position for high or low crawling.
If you must low crawl the binoculars are protected – not
so with a chest harness which will drag them through the dirt.
Need to add or remove a layer of clothing? The Long Grass strap
slips on and off over your head easily and quickly. There are no
confusing straps to thread your arms through.
