SOME LIKE IT HOT

As the summer month temperatures rise, so does your increased risk of getting a sunburn that could potentially derail your vacation. Nothing could be worse than having to sit at camp, with bright red skin that hurts to think about let alone touch.

Here at Long Grass, we like to follow the Tilley “Slip, Slop, Slap” rules.

  - Slip on a long sleeve shirt with a collar. The tighter weave the shirt, the higher UPF rating it gets. However, almost any long sleeve shirt will provide you with some protection.

  - Slop on sunscreen, the higher the rating means you should have more time before your skin begins to burn. Just remember to re- apply the sunscreen at regular intervals.

  - Slap on a wide brimmed hat. With all the options that are available now, staying protected no longer means having to wear unflattering hats with a white streak of zinc running down your nose.

We have many styles available for you to choose from so you can find the perfect hat for all of the exciting adventures that await you this summer. You can view our hat selection at http://www.long-grass.com/products/category/headwear
