Why This Line?
For most of us, the planning and preparation for an African adventure is an important component
of the overall experience. Your choice of clothing is an integral part of this preparation process.
You need to have functional clothing and it should compliment your sense of image and style for
maximum enjoyment. Consideration should be given to type of fabric, fabric color, weight, garment style,
and clothing accessories. While this sounds fairly simple it may not be so.

The criteria for this range were comfort, durability, affordability and a distinctive look. To satisfy these
requirements, 100% cotton fabrics in earthy colors were developed.

Advantages of our clothing line

Fabric

Our clothing is made of 100% cotton. Cotton is the preferred fabric for most activities in tropical and
sub-tropical conditions.

Cotton provides comfort, durability, and quiet movement that no other fiber can match. Our cotton
garments work well in thorn bush environments. By comparison, most synthetic garments are more
easily pierced, snagged, or ripped by thorns and make more noise.

Cotton breathes well and is comfortable in a wide range of temperature. In the dry season you will
likely encounter temperatures that vary from 35 degrees at sunup to 85 by mid-afternoon. Nothing
feels better against the skin than pure cotton. Cotton has been the traditional safari fabric worn by
Roosevelt, Hemmingway, and Ruark.

Lastly, the safari staff that will be laundering your clothes is familiar with cotton garments and
understands how to care for them. This may not be true for special care synthetic fabrics.

Fabric color

Our products are produced in a variety of earth tone color combinations. Combinations of green,
khaki, and stone allow you to blend with nature and present a stylish traditional look.

We do not provide camouflage for several reasons:
-Camouflage has a military connotation and is actually illegal in some areas.
-Camouflage is not proper for wear when touring in the cities and more populated areas.
-Baggage weight limitations make it impractical to take clothing that cannot be worn on any given day.

Color matching recommendations are given to ensure you get maximum utility of your outfits in a
stylish manner.

Fabric weight

Our fabric weights are perfectly matched to the garment. Not too heavy and not too light. Specifics
of fabric weight for each garment are given in individual product descriptions.

Garment Style

Our garments are designed with function as the basis while maintaining simple and classical lines
that have been proven over time. The two tone color variations of some shirts may be new to
Americans but are commonly used by professional hunters and experienced outdoorsmen in Africa.

When you buy one of our garments you are assured that you are getting a quality, time proven
garment that will serve you well. A trip to Africa may be a once in a life time adventure and is not the
time for a trial-and-error approach to the choice of your equipment.

Do it right. Do it with style.
